The City of Portsmouth History Commission invites you to a celebration in honor of our City’s historical writers and living landmarks. Join us for a reception (cash bar) in the private banquet room at Roger Brown’s Restaurant as we honor the following Portsmouth treasures: Marshall Butt, Dean Burgess, Dr. Robert Brook Albertson, Mae Breckenridge Haywood and Cassandra Newbie-Alexandra.
The authors will be on hand to talk about their writings and their roles in chronicling the history of Portsmouth and her people. Free to the public. Books and other items available for purchase. RSVP to Brooke (blawsing1717@gmail.com) before February 10th.
