Victory at Craney Island!
Come to the Hill House Museum to celebrate the decisive Craney Island Battle where local citizens served with the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, and Virginia Militia to bravely defend the Elizabeth River harbor during the War of 1812. The Hill House gardens will feature an interactive display where uniformed reenactors showcase tools, weapons, and uniforms. Museum tours include cuisine demonstrations and a cultural customs presentation by costumed members of The Regency Society of Virginia this Saturday from 11 am – 4 pm. Click here to learn more.
