First Friday Concerts in the Courtyard & 2018 Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit – Art Opening & Reception

With spring, sculptures begin arriving in the historic courtyard for this annual outdoor exhibit. Included for 2018 are works by Lee Badger, Michael Bednar, Brent Crothers, Hanna Jubran, Barbara Kobylinska, Jordan Parah, Antoinette Schultze, Adam Walls and Richard Ward. Pick up a ballot to help determine which sculpture wins the People’s Choice Award, one of several cash awards offered to artists. Voting continues through August 1st.
Free admission to the museum will be enhanced with light refreshments and a live concert by BJ Griffin. Enjoy the cool jazz sounds of this singing cellist who strives to carry out his vision of mixing classical, jazz, and pop music in hopes of breaking the barriers between the genres. In addition to the genre-bending musical projects, Bj also is a singer/songwriter. He has been a finalist in the Sea Level Singer-Songwriter competition and he has performed his music for several tv and internet specials.
Parking is free after 6:00 p.m.
