Black History Now 2020: “When I Grow Up…” at the Children’s Museum

Jan 18, 2020 11:00 pm - Jan 18, 2020 4:00 pm

Children can meet NASCAR pit crew members, celebrity hair stylist, music producers and other African-Americans who are successful in a variety of professional arenas while parents learn to encourage their children to “think outside of the box” when selecting a career path. Target audience: Families, all ages

In its fifth season, the Portsmouth Museums and the Portsmouth Public Libraries Black History Now series commemorates African-American heritage. Black History Now 2020 will include Saturday events of cultural dance, music, plays, military tributes and more as we celebrate Black History from West Africa all the way to today’s change makers.
